Since 2005 RCF has financed the Children’s Art program run by Chatchada Kruakaew. The same year RCF financed a number of libraries, including the main library I Kapong, in cooperation with the Thai organization Thai Wisdom.
Upper secondary school donats to RCF.
Children at an upper secondary school in Narvik Norway wrote, produced and preformed a theatre show. After a lot of work and coordination the show was presented at a Narvik stage this spring.
Grand opening of the children’s library in Kapong
Children’s library in Kapong was opened on Friday the 15th of December2006. The yellow ribbon was cut by Lars Henriksen (RCF), Teerawong Dhanitveth (TWA) and community officials from Kapong. The opening was regarded as a major event and large crowds of children and officials attended the opening ceremony

The construction of the children’s library in Kapong, Thailand is going on as planed. The library is 350 square metres large and will function as a central library for children’s books which will be distributed to other smaller libraries located in nurseries and schools.
More than 500 people attended RCF fundraiser
Thon Gospel choir arranged a Christmas show as a fundraiser for Ragnars Care Foundation in Harstad Town in northern Norway. There objective is to do a fundraiser every Christmas on behalf of a well chosen cause aimed on a non commercial humanitarian project. This year they chose Ragnars Care Foundation as the beneficiary to the concert.

Evenes Children’s Choir held a concert in Evenes Wednesday 13th this December 2006. The children wanted to do a fundraiser on behalf of Ragnar`s Care Foundation in order to help children in other parts of the world.

More than 300 children ran through the town of Narvik for the cause of Ragnar`s Care Foundation. The purpose of the race was to raise money on behalf of RCF and gather founds in order to maintain the activity in the projects financed by RCF.
A three day acoustic fundraiser for RCF
About twenty musicians where gathered on a local establishment called Resepten Pub and held a three day long concert in order to raise founds for Ragnar`s Care Foundation. The music was mostly based on acoustic instruments playing Jazz, Blues and Rock'n Roll.
The Fishing boat project was a success.
In the end of February 11 fishing boats where ready for delivery. All boats were built together with the recipient on the RCF own boat yard north of Khao Lak.
Ragnar is found and identified
After almost 7 months Ragnar was finally found and identified. With a tremendous effort by the Norwegian and International forensic teams a very long period of uncertainty and worries is now finally over. Even if this wasn’t what we hoped for, it was a better message than no message at all, never to know.
RCF starts to build 11 fishing boats
Ragnar`s Care Foundation has started the work of building 11 boats for families who lost their boat and source of income as a result of the Tsunami. Sea gypsies, the families receiving the boats are located in remote areas of the two islands named Kho Ko Kao and Kho Phra-Thong.

”Pigge´s” Boat Building Project
The “Expressen”, one of Sweden’s greatest tabloids, has started a national fund-raising, aimed at supporting the boat building project in Thailand, run by the RCF. The person at the head of the fund-raising in Sweden is Stig “Pigge” Werkelin, a Swede who survived the Tsunami in Khao Lak, Thailand. Pigge lost his wife Ulrika and his two sons, Max and Charlie, aged 4 and 6 years, in the wave.

John Moorhead from http://www.punchlinecomedy.com/ has organized a number of “stand-up” comedy shows in Asia. Through these shows John has raised money in order to support the work to help the victims from the Tsunami on the 26th of December 2004.
